In order to sign a rental agreement with Valpirent, the customer/driver must have the following documentation in their possession:
- Citizen Card (ID) or Passport;
- Driver's License;
- Proof of Address.
All of the aforementioned documents must be valid and properly authenticated (copies, provisional documents, or seizure notices are not accepted).
Safety Deposit
- At the time of creating the Reservation and/or Contract, the customer/driver will be asked for an amount corresponding to the safety deposit;
- The safety deposit is mandatory and must be made by credit card, in case of non-compliance, the opening of the contract may be refused even if there is a previously accepted reservation. Typically, the amounts requested by Valpirent correspond to the value of the vehicle's deductible and the E-toll service (see information below), however, if the customer/driver wishes to add any extras to the contract, the amount related to the deductible may be subject to changes;
- Valpirent only accepts credit cards from Visa or Mastercard, with a minimum validity of 3 months and in the name of the requester (excludes MBWay/MBNet cards, Prepaid cards or other virtual cards);
- At the end of the rental, if there are no outstanding amounts to be charged, the pre-authorization related to the vehicle's deductible may be canceled/unblocked at that time;
- ATTENTION: Regarding the pre-authorization for the E-toll service, it will only be canceled/unblocked in full or in part (depending on the use of the service), once 15 business days have passed after the Check-In/Vehicle return. This safety deposit cannot be released before this period due to legal obligations with Via Verde (DL n.. 84-C/2022, de 9/Dez.), the customer/driver must understand and accept this situation before proceeding with the rental.
- With prior validation, clients from the "Insurance Companies" category may make safety deposits using other physical bank cards that are not credit cards;
- All transactions carried out are managed and intermediated by entities external to Valpirent, so the completion times may vary depending on the various banking entities involved.
